My, how time flies when you're at camp!

Yep, it's been over a month since I last blogged. My how time flies when you're at camp! :)
This summer has been going pretty well so far. It's had its ups and downs, that's for sure. Yet I know that this is where I am meant to be for the summer. I've been meditating on Isaiah 55:8-13 lately. Those verses had been stuck in my head and nagging at me a lot last week, but I couldn't remember where they were located. I knew for sure that they were in Isaiah, but I didn't know what chapter. So I started at the beginning of Isaiah and read until I found them in chapter 55. Yeah, I'm realizing that I am a lot more stubborn than I thought I was!

Today is my day off, and it has been wonderful. My dear Julie came up and visited me this afternoon. She took me out to lunch at Bennigan's and then bought me fresh fruit from Meijer's, since I don't get good fresh fruit at camp. She also brought me homemade cookies, so now my fridge is stocked with skim milk, grapes, blueberries, and nectarines...yum :) I also got to introduce her to my dearest, closer-than-a-sister, friend Kim. It was so wonderful. Kim asked "Do I finally get to meet Julie?!" while J was saying "This must be Kim! I am so happy to finally meet you!" and they hugged like they've known one another for years. I don't think I'll ever forget that.

Life in the country is good. Been throwing some hay bales (and getting a good work out), riding some horses, playing in the mud in storms, catching frogs and turtles with little kids, hanging out with friends, etc. Also started a prank war last night by duct taping Amy Youngs into her bed while she slept. That was great! Basically, I get paid to play. I figured out that I walk at least four miles a day, every day, not to mention walking up and down 87 steps in the side of Pine Slope to get to lunch every day. Yeah, it feels good to be getting back into shape!

Scotland in about a month...woot!

Time to get outta this AC and head back to the Ranch.
